Very good book in good dust jacket. Large format 10 x 8" with 72 pages. No name in 'this book belongs to' box, brown stains to endpapers all other pages clean. White cloth on boards with gilt lettering to front. Gift inscription on front turn-in flap of dust jacket 'with love & best wishes for a Happy Christmas' long repaired tear to front panel (repaired with clear tape - now browned), small tape stain to rear turn-in and a little edge wear. . Colour illustrations throughout by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone. Pretty book. 11843

Stunning colour illustrations on every page by Janet & Anne Grahame Johnstone. 40 prayers including - Loving Jesus, gentle lamb, Lord, protect me through the night, When I'm fast asleep in my little bed, Loving shepherd of thy sheep, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and so on. No previous ownership marks, a little foxing to front free endpaper and title page, small crease to front free endpaper else contents very good. The white pictorial dust jacket has yellowed with age is a little grubby and very slightly edge worn and foxed. 11012

Very good book in near very good unclipped (17s 6d net) dust jacket. Colour illustrations throughout by Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone. Large format 12 x 9.5" with 77 pages. Very good blue boards with gilt lettering to spine. Inscription on ffep 'from Philip Colman' no other ownership marks, one or two brown marks (foxing spots) to margins of some pages else contents very good. Unclipped dust jacket has several small repaired edge tears (these appear to have been repaired with glue not tape), tiny chips to top of spine and a little wear to corners and bottom of spine. Very difficult to find with the dust jacket. 36 stories including the contrary fairy, goblin pony, magician's gifts, Udea and her brothers, the little grey man and Errua and the giant. 11748
