Gift inscription 'to Pauline from Sarah' and slight finger marks on a couple of margins else contents fine, clean and bright. Unclipped dust jacket (9s 6d net) has slight chipping with very minor loss to spine ends, corners rubbed else very good. Nine year-old Pippie lives alone with a horse and a monkey and does exactly as she pleases. She has no mother and her father is king of a cannibal isle, so she has learnt to look after herself. She never goes to school, gets up when she likes and keeps a chest of gold coins under her bed! 9168
