160A Fleet St London Dean & Son Limited 1907 Hardcover Very Good No Jacket BS
Undated c1907 third impression. Oblong format 8.5 x 5.5 inches with 78 pages. Comparable to an autography book but in this case you are required to close your eyes before drawing a pig on one of the pages, then lift the pencil before putting in (or out as the case may be) the eye of the pig. The artist then signs the page in order to fix the responsibility! Two pages have been completed and dated August 1907. Most unusual item. Each page has a border design of pigs in shades of brown, green, blue or lilac and several of them are 'signed' with the initials 'BS'. Red cloth on boards a little age soiled, gilt title and pig decoration, gift inscription on ffep 'Irene with Auntie Nellie's love better late than never' else very good clean condition. 7746
