Undated c1914. Original tan cloth with blue floral decoration to background, ship in full sail passing before a Persian Palace to foreground. Cloth a little dusty and spine age darkened. 23 superb colour plates each mounted within a decorative border and protected by a captioned tissue guard. Each page of text has the same decorative border. The endpapers continue the design from the boards having a tan background and blue floral decoration. All 23 plates are present with their tissue-guards and each in excellent condition (light creasing to one tissue-guard). Previous owners name on front pastedown (difficult to spot), inscription on half title page 'to me as well as you', foxing to half title page and infrequent light internal foxing (plates clean). Very good copy of this much sought-after volume. 9580
